A Silly Thing
04:24
|
|||
The salt in wounds is best
If mountains have been blacked
To resurrect a hopeful song
With empathy intact
I don’t see you coming down with
Really anything
Do you even know
The silly thing
I thought you felt a little bit more
An elephant’s main vice
Is thinking twice about the past
Did you think your man could save you from the end?
Cause you and I are ordinary
Like the rising sun
I don’t see you coming down with really any thing
Do you even know the silly
Thing I thought you felt a little more
Oh my
Keep the beat
When the night falls down
Mother
Sister
Father
Brother
Older
Younger
Children
Elders
Small things
Great and all

Complicated
01:27
|
|||
A gilded road
bought and sold where luck is
On a run
the strangest memory
Waking and entering
Just to catch a glimpse
Stream of mystery
Broken chimes
Next to your wine and pearls
Put it there
I’ll meet you in those fields too
Old song
Now that fall is setting in
Kind world
Better things will soon begin
Heartbeat on
A summer feeling
Run in circles where they
See inside
chanted night
Transfigured light e ning
A rainbow child
A prince of tea leaves
A breath, at least, of fresher air
And sea
windy day
Smoke rings playing your tune
Come home
You are welcome anytime
Believe me, leave me

Lonely
04:22
|
|||
I light my palo Santo
To clear the air
But the things left unsaid
Linger there
Hold on to this train of thought
It will take you to the places you can feel
nothing is real
But there must be a place where only the lonely go
To hang around and pass the time
And if you see me drawing arrows in the snow you’ll know
There’s absolutely no-one.
And are you lost too?
Seeking breadcrumbs in moonlight
What water can’t wash away the sun will dry
Till it’s cracked and abandoned, drier than bleached bones
Hold on to your memories
They may help you in an an unfamiliar groove
Too anxious to move
And there should be someone to help you lift that load
At least you must drink water and rest
And if the blues don’t leave you I can say you’re not alone
At least that’s what my friends back home,
All grown, said
Shining now, stronger than diamonds
